FAQ

Answers

What should I do right now if I have water in my house?

If it is safe, shut off the water at the source and turn off power to the affected area. Move what you can to a dry room. Then call us at (678) 558-3995: the faster extraction starts, the less has to be torn out. Take a few photos before anything is moved if you can do it safely.

How fast can you get here?

We dispatch 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from Gainesville. When you call we tell you when the crew will arrive, and we mean it.

Will my insurance cover this?

Sudden and accidental water damage (a burst pipe, an appliance failure, a storm) is covered by most homeowner policies. Gradual leaks and outside flooding usually are not. We document every job with photos, moisture readings and line-item estimates and deal directly with your adjuster, which makes the claim go smoother.

Do I have to use the company my insurance recommends?

No. In Georgia you have the right to choose your own restoration contractor. The insurance company's "preferred vendor" works for the insurance company; we work for you.

How long does drying take?

Typically three to five days with commercial air movers and dehumidifiers, checked with moisture meters every day. We do not pull equipment until the readings say the structure is dry.

Is mold always a problem after water damage?

Not if the drying is done right and done quickly. Mold needs about 24 to 48 hours of moisture to get started. When we are called early, we treat affected materials and dry the structure before it has the chance. If you already smell mustiness or see spots, we test and remediate.

Why would a water damage job need asbestos testing?

Homes and buildings built before the 1980s often have asbestos in floor tile, mastic, joint compound, popcorn ceilings and pipe insulation. Cutting out wet drywall or pulling up old flooring can release fibers. We test before demolition and perform licensed abatement when it is needed, so the repair does not create a bigger problem.

Do you rebuild too, or just dry things out?

Both. The same licensed team that handles the mitigation handles the rebuild: drywall, insulation, flooring, trim and paint. You are not handed off to a second contractor.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. Through Regions Bank you can prequalify in minutes with no impact to your credit score, with fixed-rate 5- and 12-year loans or a 12-month same-as-cash option. Ask us, or use the prequalification link on our contact page.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. Emergency inspections and estimates are free, and we tell you plainly what should be covered by insurance and what may not be.
